Richland boys, girls earn wins on the road

Boys

RICHLAND 79, PASCO 30

Josh Woodard paced Richland with 19 points and shot 65% from the floor while Lucas Westerfield netted 11 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots en route to a Bomber win over host Pasco.

The Bombers advanced to 3-0 in MCC play with the victory while Pasco fell to 0-3.

The Bulldogs got 12 points from Zane Zavaleta and 10 points from Kayshaun Davis, who also pulled down 12 rebounds.

Girls

RICHLAND 62, PASCO 26

Four players achieved double digit point totals as Richland ran away with the Mid-Columbia Conference win over Pasco in a game rescheduled from December.

Lexi Hay led the Bombers (3-0 MCC) with 15 points, including three 3-point baskets. Kylee Fox, Macie Milum and Maggie Smith contributed 11 points each in the balanced attack.

Mireyah Lopez led with nearly 60 percent of the Bulldogs (0-3 MCC) offensive effort and finished with 15 points.

HERMISTON 86, WEST VALLEY (SPOKANE) 43

Hermiston scored a season-high 31 first-quarter points as the Bulldogs ran away with a non-conference home win.

After scoring just four points in the first half, Izzy Simmons connected on four baskets from long range in the second half and finished with 18 points for the night. As a team, the Bulldogs hit 10 three-point baskets in the win.
